Notes from the Road
Teco Arena - Estero, FL

Got a much needed haircut (and a slight purple haze tint-LOL!) and hung out with the Kitten and the locals who were very sweet...the tornado had knocked out their roof last week and it was pretty deserted...and well, they were happy to have patrons and we were thrilled to be in paradise!...we'd heard that Sheryl showed up in Nashville...damn, and we missed it...I love Sheryl, too...oh, well...our buddy, Kris was coming to go to the Teco show with us...we all sat in the 4th row...there was plenty of room and good energy all around...security was intense but there was enough of us, they couldn't stop us all...hahaha...Stevie and the band are really in the groove...she and the girls are wailing...Waddy, Lenny, and the boys are jamming...and just wow!...they just keep getting better and better...I ended up by myself way over on the girl's side...and had a patches bear up dancing in the way too big glowstick light (b.c., no small ones to be found in these here parts and we looked!)...as Stevie came down my way, since I was at the end, I held him up and she took him and passed him to the secuity dude...turned and smiled at me...and then paused and mouthed, 'thank you!' and sort of pointed at me...I think I lost my mind and said something like, 'no, thank you!'...or possibly 'I love you, Stevie' ...who knew?...what a moment...LOL...after the show, I ran into my buddy, Kris...this was her 4th show and she had shaken Stevie's hand at each one...Kitten was able to hand Stevie a beautiful necklace that she had made for her with a heartfelt note...there was good karma all around...many happy folks all sharing the Stevie karma and bliss...Kitten went looking for the set list and was gifted with a metal celtic cross from the drum set...very cool!...but the set list was given to a woman who was with a man in a wheelchair...she didn't seem to know what it was exactly...Kitten and she ran into each other later in the bathroom and they talked ...her friend was blind and well, didn't exactly want the set list or pictures...but when mention was made of the music, well...magic happened...and my gyspy Stevie soulmate companion (what did we decide, blackcat...twin souls or evil twins...LOL) walked out with the set list and an address and much love surrounding her...the night really couldn't have gotten much better...Kris, Kitten, and I headed back to the sea before crossing the state for the West Palm Beach show...
